- Chairman Bahria Town Malik Riaz has also offered unconditional support to the federal and provincial governments. In a statement, Malik Riaz said that the recent flood situation across the country is catastrophic, Bahria Town flood relief operations are ongoing. The basic necessities are being sent to the homeless in Sindh, South Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Malik Riaz also said that we are working not only for the rehabilitation of the people but also for the rehabilitation of the infrastructure.
- After the devastation caused by the worst ever floods in Pakistan, Malik Riaz placed an extremely rare and generous offer to donate 75% of all of his assets for the relief and rehabilitation of the flood victims. This exceptional munificence on his behalf was also very much appreciated by the western media. The magnanimity of this great person does not end here; he also paid the huge sum of Rs 130m as ransom to free 7 Pakistani sailors from Somali pirates. They were made hostages since they had been captured for more than one and a half year.
- Bahria Dastarkhwan is Malik Riaz’s yet another humble & promising effort to eradicate hunger from Pakistan. Starting small in the year 2008, today this largest network of soup kitchens in Pakistan is feeding hundreds of thousands of mouths every day, in many cities across the length and breadth of our beloved homeland. An unprecedented initiative providing free meals, twice a day, to more than hundred thousand people throughout Pakistan.
